I think there was a time when they had their hearts in the right palce, but after hearing/seeing all the wacko things they have done in recent times, I have my doubts as to them being helpful.

Someone directed me to their bylaws one time, and some of it is downright scary, and not the writings of a sane mind.

I think they are a good source/tool for information as long as you bear in mind where the info came from. For example: When our DD was supossed to dissect a cat and the teacher wouldn't give her an alternate assignment. I did get alot of info from PETA. Thankfully we didn't have to use it once we(parents) talked to the teacher DD got an alternate assignment.
I have read alot of different things they have on their website and yes most of it looks to be very radical and contradictory(is that a word? lol) to me. Okay I'm not explaining myself well at all LOL. When I hear PETA is involved I groan then read what they have to say and judje for myself what I believe.
